Arunachal Pradesh is one of the 7sisterly states of Northeast india. History of its origin is very vast and difficult to trace. 

Here are the some important facts about Arunachal Pradesh 

  1. State was know as NEFA (North Eastern Frontier Agency) till 1972. 
  2. Got full pledge state in 20th October 1982. 
  3. State is sometime associated with 'land of down lit mountain' and  'the land of rising sun'
  4. It is the largest state in Northeast India. 
  5. About 80% of area is covered by forest. 
  6. Namdapha National Park is the second largest national park in Northeast india. 
  7. The state shares a total of 1630 kms of international boundary with neighboring countries. 
  8. Tawang Monastery or Gompa is the largest monastery in India and the second largest in Asia. 
  9. The first sunrise of country can be seen in Dong township of Anjaw district.
  10. State host about 80 orchid species.
  11. Lowest population density state in india
  12. Linguistically state is the most diverse state 
  13. State have 26 major and more than 100 minor tribes
  14. English is the official language of Arunachal Pradesh 
  15. Also know as 'orchid state' or 'the paradise of botanist'
